(Tangelo.) I had a dream. About. A guy. →
It’s 2:15 when I write this on a plain sheet of paper. I don’t want to forget, and cannot be on the computer at this time. There was some sort of literary competition in town. All of the teenagers who could write anything at all, and all of their friends, were gathered to submit their stories, poetry, their entire journal. I was there, too. I didn’t want to submit my poetry (I...

That awkward moment when you wait for one person...

(Shiro.) I realize that I sound a little like...
me: *stretches*
oh, god O_O forty minutes and a whole person to make over
Sijto has challenged me indeed n_n
but
HAI
Robin: *blinks, cautious* Hello.
Nice to meetcha. *bows*
I am a bit intimidated.
me: *giggles* I don't have time for you to be guarded. I would go through proper introductions, but I'm about to cut deep into your soul and change you into a completely different person
so you're going to have to get comfortable instead of curious.
Robin: *deep breath*
As comfortable and un-curious as can be with someone cutting me open.
me: :) of course.
Robin: *shiver* OK. Let's do this?
me: I could tell you a few things. I could tell you to be more blunt and honest, to try to figure out your feelings more directly, to take chances instead of staying on the indoors, and to contradict the world when you truly don't agree with it, regardless of what anyone thinks
I could tell you to do these things, to live self actualized and free, but it would get you nowhere, for these are instructions, and not reasons.
So let's shift your point of view.
Robin: *blink* Ok.
me: The entire world is running on lies. Politicians, the magazines with pretty girls on it, cheaters in relationships, friends who aren't really friends, tax evasion etc.
As a matter of fact, you are expected to lie in some situations to either get yourself out of a sticky situation or just make things easier on people
However, this is _wrong._
There are a small percent, small and tiny, that believe in more than easy
America believes in easy. The western world believes in easy.
I believe in what's _right._
I believe in founding dreams that people truly attempt to go forth with their entire soul and being, and die happy even if not accomplished.
I believe in telling the truth, and fucking yourself over, but telling the truth regardless because it's the _right_ thing to do.
Strength is not born with. Strength is not talent. Strength is trained.
Strength is something that you can see in the far off distance and run towards, if you have the directions.
You want it. You think of it as something other people have and desireable, but never something you could have. This is wrong. Don't make it a dream.
Make it a goal.
Start with honesty. Screw the social rules every once in a bit, and actually delve deep inside yourself to find your own opinions and _say them_, because you're probably right.
n_n smart girl.
Now, if you do this correctly, you're going to notice yourself feeling more in tune with yourself.
me: As soon as you start breaking the rules, bit by bit, you'll find that you'll be alive. it'll be less difficult to get up in the morning. It'll be easier to sleep with a smile a night. Everything will seem like you could look at it differently instead of the one way _society_ and _your parents_ expect you to look at it.
This is your essence. This is the natural you living in the very unnatural world, and getting used to the idea that you are not, indeed, a statistic, or a russian person, or your family heritage, or your grades, your the worlds opinions of you
you are _yourself._
No one else. And the fun thing about being yourself? is that you can decide who you want to be, and mold yourself into that.
This is what being in tune with feelings means. You might think it's wrong to care about someone like me, hesitate, but in fact you do, a lot, more than you think you do, but you're stopping because it'd be complicated and hard and "wrong" because other people would scold you but that's not _true._
What's right for you is what is right for your world. Only you live in your world, and the rest of us are it's inhabitants.
Don't get sucked up in someone else's world. Live in your own.
*stretches fingers* and that's off to a good _start._ I hope to god you'll take my advice.
Robin: *reels a little*
In essence, 'be yourself, screw the consequences'?
me: *nods* Exactly. The world expects you to conform to them, but this destroys the very essence of being a human being.
People have forgotten that. I haven't.
Robin: *blink* Why create something that will destroy you?
what is this essence?
me: It's what makes a human, human.
Society is becoming something that you could raise a computer in a child's place and they'd essentially function the same as a human being
follow what everyone else does.
But that's not what we should be doing.
We should be following our hearts. We should be following our dreams.
Robin: *snorts* I'm not quite sure I know what those dreams are.
me: _Exactly._
You've been packaged and shipped off into the world by everything that's influenced you up to this point without realizing it.
If you knew yourself, you'd know what you wanted, and those dreams.
Robin: then how the hell do I know that there's anything left in me that's not part of a 'machine'?
me: You start questioning whether or not you really believe in things.
You're Jewish, right?
Robin: Yes. By heritage. Agnostic by belief.
me: Exactly. now why do you still say you're Jewish?
Robin: Because I love the ceremony and the feeling of being close to people in the community
me: But don't you think you're kind of cheating by pretending to be a part of something you don't truly believe in?
aren't you doing the easy thing instead of the right thing?
Robin: *blinks* Reform Judiasm isnt that strict.
But.
Yes.
In essence.
me: n_n there you go.
Robin: Hrn.
me: it's easy to do that. You could keep going, and i won't blame you. But people aren't born not doing that. Some number of people realize they are, hate it, and stop, and some people don't, and keep going.
I am Morpheus. I am showing you the Matrix. You can choose to go back in. You'll just forever know it's not real.
Robin: >_< I don't wanna be one of the people trying to delude themselves. I have a feeling i don't realize myself doing it, though.
me: *nodnods*
You'll start catching yourself more and more if you practice.
Robin: Question belief sets?
me: *nods* And actions. And thoughts.
Question _everything._
Robin: Sounds simple and difficult. *thinks*
Why do I do homework?
me: *nodnods* Good start.

Why is it no one else can? Everyone: In a solemn, desperate, lonely wish; “Please open your eyes.”

Anonymous asked: Do you like Huey Lewis and The News? Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a...

(Tangelo.) And suddenly, I can feel you there. →
I’m going to have trouble writing this, aren’t I? (AFter writing: Yeah, I really did.) It feels like…. The popping, springing of little ping pong balls echoing in a racquetball room, sound waves bouncing off each other as the balls themselves bounce up and down and off the walls as if gravity doesn’t exist, never existed, and until recently I’ve been hitting them...

Video game intro, 1-5 interval that almost trips over itself while still being catchy. Even higher falling of notes, quick entrance of bass, 1,7,4,5, all major in their own respect. Saxophone solo melody, consistent but warm. Clicking spanish rhythm, awesome people clapping. Long enough to listen to over and over again, short enough to not bore you. From the small thought to the full...

Or the same religions but different goals? I’m not sure. But the existentialist humanist thing is more than something I just enjoyed. It’s something I am. Out of everyone, I have almost the hardest time forming any concrete goals for myself. Honestly, it’s hard to just not go along with what everyone else is doing (“I want to reach nirvana!” “I want to save the...

Instead of even making a rudimentary attempt in going down the list of things on my mind from top to bottom depending on how important they are, or how important they should be, I’m just going to jump around. Kinda like Scarlet did. Sorry. I’ve recently made the decision to save the world. This is a little (but only a little) different from the gnawing feeling that makes Kuro not...

Anonymous asked: I wish. I should do that over the next couple weeks.
Btw, in case you haven't guessed, this is a different person than the one who was asking questions earlier.
Jan 9th
Anonymous asked: Oh and it wouldn't be in your gmail. The only reason you know is because the first time (after I had one) that I asked you a reason, I accidentally asked a question unanonymously, and though my tumblr at that point did not have a single point, I kinda freaked and you deleted the question. :)

Anonymous asked: And who is that? Slash thanks :)

(Scarlet.) The Best. Possible. Way.  →
To take in everything at once and make the best possible decision depending on the information you’ve been given and your own personal feelings. It requires a lot of self-trust. It was different before. Thoughts on what happened and why only focused on the self. “I am my own main character, so ultimately it’s only my plot that matters.” But the rules have changed. No....

“Freud was the first modern psychologist to suggest that every personality has a large unconscious, or unaware, component.
